Report: Mariah Carey drops Randy Jackson as manager

Listen to Mariah Carey on iHeartRadio

The diva drama on "American Idol" may have caused permanent damage to Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson's business relationship.  "Showbiz 411" is reporting that the star has inked a new deal with Red Light Management and Jackson is no longer serving as her manager.

The longtime "Idol" judge has been involved in Mariah's career since the 90s and was the one to help sign her reported 18 million dollar contract for this past season.

The two haven't indicated any tension on screen, but Mariah is rumored to be upset with Fox's handling of her clash with fellow judge Nicki Minaj.

The "American Idol" finale will air next Wednesday and Thursday.
